CCRS Inventory: QuantityOnHand exceeds InitialQuantity

For the supported CCRS Inventory layout, QuantityOnHand must not exceed InitialQuantity. Preflight compares the two values in each Inventory record.

Recognize the mismatch

This is an illustration of two fields, not a complete upload file. The row says that 12 remain from an initial quantity of 10. Preflight flags this relationship with inventory.quantity-on-hand-max.

What to check next

  1. Use the finding's record location to locate the item in your export.
  2. Compare both values with the underlying inventory record, including units and any manual edits.
  3. Correct the source of the discrepancy and export a new CSV. Do not reduce a real quantity just to remove the warning.
  4. Check the new file before submitting it through your usual reporting workflow.

What a file check cannot decide

Preflight can show that the two numbers conflict. It cannot determine which number is accurate, reconstruct inventory history, or decide which CCRS transaction should correct that history.

If both exported numbers accurately reflect your records but the relationship still fails, investigate the source system or reporting history before changing values. A green local result is not proof that CCRS has accepted an inventory record.
